What is AMP?

AMP stands for Accelerated Mobile Pages. It was originally created by Google with the intention of helping webpages load faster with mobile web browsers. It has received a lot of criticism from both users and developers alike.

Why Disable AMP?

Many people find AMP to be frustrating. For example it prevents using the ability to scroll to the top of the page by tapping the top of the screen and often shows a reduced version of the requested website that includes less features.

How To Disable AMP

There's no official method of disabling AMP. However, thanks for Web Extensions in Safari on iOS 15 and later it's possible to automatically redirect AMP links.
